Spring is in the air! The time has come to finish long lost projects.. first one on the list was this sleeveless silky top. The backside is simple, one button to keep it all together. But the front is where the fun happens :). Cutted out way to wide, cropped up at several places to make it fit :).
It's all in the details... from the left shoulder the 'crop' falls down.
Goes perfectly well with a lion-yellow colored blazer :)

Redecorating my room also ment new bed linen, and new bed linen ment new cushion covers! Because redecorating is not a cheap business I made my new cushion covers myself. The fabric is officially supposed to be used for curtains, so it is thick, good quality. The golden covers are 
nice and shiny, the black ones are soft because it is a wool-fabric.
Of course... before I start a late HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Inspired by the inspiration placed on facebook by a friend of mine I started drawing again. But I wanted to try something new... after I finished the drawing part I cut out the girl, replaced the background with aluminium foil, used wrapping paper for the goblet, and normal black coloured paper... I have no clue where the original photo comes from, but thank you ;), love it!! And my version... is decorating my room :).
All you need: christmas ribbons, a candle, cinnamon sticks, fake cherries/berries, mushrooms and red peppers or anything else! Put it all together on a nice garland (a real one, please!!), use iron strings to secure the decorations.. and voila! Ho Ho Ho... Merry Christmas!

I bought this cute blazer from Attentif, a French label. Next to clothes they sell shoes (high-higher-highest heels!), bags (birkin style) and other accessories. Located at the Barteljorisstraat (north end), is a luxuary boutique named IT. They also have a shop at the Gedempte Oude Gracht 91. Not cheap, but oh so nice! They sell labels like Ted Baker, Supertrash, mbyM and jet more to come! I bought this high waisted skirt from mbyM with an all-the-way-down zip at the back :). Located at Gierstraat 45 you will find the English style shop The Best Kept Secret. Run by an English mother and daughter. They have unique items! Really really really a must go!! They travel back to England every other week to come back with 500 new items. Most of them are posted on their facebook wall. I bought this dress and blue pants. Another lovely boutique is situated at Kruisstraat 15, Jutka&Riska. They sell vintage items, own design, new collections, items by young designers and customized items. I love to travel...! This time I donated my time on the plane to doodling on the vomit-bag, major boredom :P... hope it is still on the plane :D and not thrown away haha!
Currently I am on holiday at the beautiful island of Bali... no time for new creative updates, but I do have some time to upload some nice pictures I took the last couple of days :)!
I once received this little notebook as a gift, of course without the funny cover ;). The original cover was a dull one! So with some help of pictures out of magazines, gold ribbon, shine through yellow/gold ribbon and glue... I turned it in to a fancy notebook :)!
Just like Vivienne Westwood, the recycle queen, I used my inventory of unused items (=trash!) to solve a problem and create something new :). Let me explain ;)... I recently bought the ultimate pair of Vans: silver ones! Didn't want the 'standard' black/blue/red ones cause everyone is wearing them. So I bumped into a 
pair of silver ones and it was love at the first sight. Problem: the laces were way tooooo long! Nooo good! At home I found white ribbon in the box where we keep the remainings of previous projects. Perfect to serve as lace for my new Vans :)! Second problem: a pair of unused laces remained. And that is where my creativity kicked in ones again... :). The result: a lace and button bracelet! And the buttons are...of course... vintage ;)! I already received the first order: my mum ;)! Who's next?
Once upon a time on a market in a small village nearby I found this flower power fabric. It was on for sale and that always makes my heart beat a little bit faster... I had to have it ;). When I came back home I immediately made this blouse... I couldn't wait! It is a two-piece butterfly model blouse... sweet, easy and comfortable :)!
This is a photo taken in my room in Austria last winter. I stayed there for a couple of months as a ski instructor :). I have had the time of my life there ;) (well.. at least till so far :P). Anyway! I wanted to have something to remember home while being away. Something where I could stick pictures in and collect my postcards. But! A large photo frame wouldn't work... how do you fit that in your suitcase/backpack? Noo idea, so I made a photo-frame-like thing that can be rolled up :). Because I received lots and lots of postcards it is a bit messy in this picture... but there is a really sweet coloured fabric behind it ;)! Scroll down for those pictures :). Now... if you want to make such a thing all you need is a patch of fabric (size is all yours) in a colour you love, ribbon, buttons and a wooden staff. It is easy... just take a close look at the pictures or ask me if it is not clear :)! I'll be happy to help you :)!
